Melanie Salter
As a vital asset to our hospital, Melanie, our office manager/tech., has worked at our office since it began in 1995. Melanie is a graduate of Perry High and began a career as a vet tech in 1981, working with Dr. Westmoreland even back then.
She and her husband Lee are raising two boys, Matthew and Mark. They are active members at Crosspoint Baptist and enjoy the mountains, cruising, and being at home with their pets. They have chickens, 2 goats, 3 dogs and 3 cats altogether.
Teri Collins
Teri is a dedicated veterinary technician at Westmoreland Animal Hospital. Her love and compassion for what she does is obvious when you see her at work. She grew up in Cochran and graduated from Bleckley County High. She is the wife of James and the mother of four; Ashley, Christopher, Katelyn, and Brittany. They have four cats and a dog named Dixie. Teri enjoys tennis and she and her family love to go fishing at Lake Sinclair. They also attend Second Baptist in Warner Robins.
Angela Rivera
Born and raised in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida, Angela has recently relocated to the Middle Georgia area from Shalimar, Florida with her husband John. She has an Associate Art degree from Okaloosa Walton College but has worked as a veterinary technician for the past seven years.
During this time she had the opportunity to be a part of one of the largest clinics in Northwest Florida. In September 2005 she had the privilege to be part of a group that traveled to New Orleans, Louisiana to aid in the rescue of animals orphaned by Hurricane Katrina.
Angela enjoys shopping, decorating and traveling with her husband . She has three sons: Chandler, Cody and Hunter as well as Rotzie(Rottweiler) and Tippy (Yorkie/Katrina rescue).
Crystal Whitney
Currently working as a veterinary assistant, Crystal is also attending Middle Georgia Tech where she is pursuing a LPN degree in nursing. Afterwards she plans to transfer to Macon State to become a RN.
Crystal has a beautiful male blue-point cat named Pumpkin. She loves attending church at Crosspoint Baptist where she teaches a kindergarten Sunday School class. She also loves attending Bible studies and riding horses.
Jena Hathcock
Jena has been with Westmoreland Animal Hospital since 2006 and is also currently enrolled at Ft. Valley State University where she is pursuing a degree as a veterinary technician. She and her husband of two years, Heath, have a zoo of their own consisting of two dogs, two cats, and a parrot. Jena loves spending time with family and friends and also sings in the Mossy Creek Band.
Kristi Allison
Working at Westmoreland Animal Hospital since 2003, Kristi is now kennel supervisor, as well as veterinary assistant. She enjoys giving special attention and care to each and every pet trying to make them feel comfortable and loved while away from home.
She and her husband John have four dogs and one cat of their own. When Kristi is not taking care of animals, she enjoys spending time with her friends and traveling
